Taiwan banned the export of 300 Series Stainless Steel Plates to Russia and Belarus
According to comprehensive Taiwan media reports on January 6, 2023, the economic department of Taiwan announced the expansion of sanctions against Russia and Belarus, which will take effect immediately, to prevent these two countries from using products produced in Taiwan for military purposes.
Taiwan’s economic authorities have included grades 304 and 316 stainless steel plates, as well as 50 items mainly related to nuclear energy substances, miscellaneous goods and materials, chemicals and machine tools, as items prohibited for export to the two countries.
The so-called expansion of sanctions against Russia and Belarus by Taiwan’s economic sector is in full line with the restrictions imposed by countries such as the United States, the European Union, Japan and the United Kingdom.
