The world’s first 3D printed stainless steel bicycle was born!
3D printing technology is exerting an increasing influence on us today.
Prior to this, although there was no widespread existence, 3D printed metal bicycle frames already existed. However, all titanium metal or some other materials have been used before.
Now, a team of students from the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands has built the world’s first 3D printed stainless steel bicycle.

Folks can feel for themselves, this bicycle looks like a recycled item on the surface.
That’s because the team used resin in addition to molten stainless steel powder when 3D printing the bicycle.
This makes the bicycle more flexible, and the vehicle’s shock absorption performance and overall quality are also very high.

For the student team, this is more than just a 3D-printed bicycle.
They also hope to study 3D printing technology in this way and use it in the construction of some larger things in the future-such as pedestrian bridges.
This will also promote 3D printing to play an increasing role in the construction industry.
