Characteristics of Various Stainless Steels
1. 310S (0Cr25Ni20): Due to the inclusion of nickel and chromium, the stability of the structure is improved, and the heat resistance is higher than that of ordinary stainless steel. Suitable for making various furnace components, the highest temperature is 1300 ℃, and the continuous use temperature is 1150 ℃. It is a material for heating furnaces, and its use temperature is 800-1200 degrees.
2. 309S (0Cr23Ni13): It can withstand repeated heating below 980 ℃, and has high temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and carburization resistance. Generally used for furnace materials, making various heat-resistant components that work in the range of 850 to 1050°C, such as furnace brackets, conveyor belts, annealing furnace covers, thermal cracking tubes, etc.
3. 2205 (1.4462/S31803): It is duplex stainless steel with small thermal deformation, stress corrosion resistance, and pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance of 2205 duplex stainless steel is better than ordinary 316L austenitic stainless steel and can be used instead of 316L. Because it has high resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and has about twice the strength. Used in large-diameter welded pipes, high-strength structural parts, corrugated pipes, heat exchangers, boilers, etc.
4. 316L (18Cr12Ni-2.5Mo low carbon): Mo (2-3%) is added to the steel, so it has excellent corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength; SUS316L has a lower carbon content than SUS316, so intergranular corrosion resistance is better than SUS316; High temperature creep strength. It can be used in harsh conditions with good work hardening and non-magnetic. Suitable for seawater equipment, chemistry, dyes, papermaking, oxalic acid, fertilizer production equipment, photography, food industry, coastal facilities
5. 321 ((18Cr9NiTi): Ti is added to 304 steel, so intergranular corrosion resistance is excellent; high-temperature strength and high-temperature oxidation resistance are excellent; cost is high, and the workability is worse than 304. Heat-resistant materials, automobile, aircraft exhaust Pipelines, boiler covers, pipes, chemical devices, heat exchangers.
6. 304 (18Cr-8Ni): has good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low-temperature strength, and mechanical properties, good hot workability such as stamping and bending, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon, non-magnetic. Widely used in household products (category 1, 2 tableware), cabinets, indoor pipelines, water heaters, boilers, bathtubs, auto parts, medical appliances, building materials, chemicals, food industry, agriculture, and ship parts.
