Canada launches anti-dumping re-investigation against China Petroleum Pipe
On October 14, 2022, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced that it will launch a double-reverse investigation on Oil Country Tubular Goods imported from China to review whether to update the normal value and export price.

On August 24, 2009, the Canada Border Services Agency conducted an anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigation on oil pipes originating in or imported from China. On February 22, 2010, the Canada Border Services Agency made a final anti-dumping and countervailing ruling on this case. On March 23, 2010, Canada officially levied anti-dumping and countervailing duties on Chinese petroleum pipes. On June 30, 2014, the Canada Border Services Agency launched the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation on oil pipes originating in or imported from China.
On October 24, 2014, the Canada Border Services Agency made the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review final ruling on oil pipes originating in or imported from China. On March 2, 2015, Canada extended the validity period of China’s oil pipe anti-dumping and countervailing duties for the first time. On February 5 and February 6, 2020, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and the Canada Border Services Agency respectively issued announcements to initiate the second anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review investigation on oil pipes originating in or imported from China.
On July 3, 2020, the Canada Border Services Agency made a second affirmative final ruling on China Petroleum Pipe’s second double-reverse sunset review. On December 10, 2020, Canada extended the validity period of China’s oil pipe anti-dumping and countervailing duties for the second time.
