TISCO Releases EPD for Cold Rolled Stainless Sheets

Recently, Taiyuan Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “TISCO”), a subsidiary of Baowu Steel Group, successfully released four environmental product declarations (EPDs) for cold rolled stainless sheets (316L, SUH409L, PTG316L, 430LX).

As of August 2024, TISCO has released 11 product EPDs on the EPD platform of China Iron and Steel Association, including 7 for stainless steel products and 4 for mining products. The release of this EPD marks another important step for TISCO in the field of green, low-carbon, and sustainable development, and also demonstrates its outstanding strength in the research and development and production of stainless steel materials.

TISCO has long been focusing on the development of special steels mainly based on stainless steel. It has established innovative platforms such as the National Key Laboratory of Advanced Stainless Steel Materials and the National Physical and Chemical Laboratory and has several core stainless steel technologies.

At present, a cluster of high-efficiency, energy-saving, and long-life steel products has been formed, mainly based on stainless steel, cold rolled silicon steel, and high-strength and tough series steel. Stainless steel products cover the full range of plate, strip, wire, and tube, ultra-wide, ultra-thick, and ultra-thin extreme specifications.
