Canada launched the second anti-dumping sunset review investigation on stainless sinks in China

On November 28 and 29, 2022, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) and the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued announcements respectively, launching the second anti-dumping on stainless sinks (Stainless Steel Sinks) originating in or imported from China and countervailing sunset review investigations.

The products involved include single-bowl sinks with a volume of 1,600 to 5,000 cubic inches and multi-bowl sinks with a total volume of 2,200 to 6,800 cubic inches. The customs codes are 7324.10.00.10 and 7324.10.00.90.

Stakeholders should submit questionnaire answers for this sunset review by January 5, 2023. The CBSA will make a final decision on this sunset review investigation no later than April 27, 2023.

On October 27, 2011, the Canadian Border Services Agency launched an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation on stainless steel sinks originating in or imported from China.

On April 24, 2012, the Canadian Border Services Agency made an affirmative final ruling on the case.

On April 4, 2017, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal issued an announcement to launch the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on stainless sinks originating in or imported from China.

On September 1, 2017, the Canadian Border Services Agency issued an announcement stating that it made the first positive double anti-sunset review for stainless steel sinks originating in or imported from China.
