EU launches anti-circumvention investigation into Indonesian hot rolled stainless coil
On July 27, 2022, the European Commission issued an announcement stating that, in response to an application submitted by the European Steel Association on behalf of EU hot rolled stainless coil and sheet producers on June 17, 2022, the European Hot Rolled Stainless Steel Sheets and Coils conducted an anti-circumvention investigation to examine whether the products involved were re-exported to the EU via Turkey to avoid anti-dumping duties.
The customs codes of the products involved are 7219 11, 7219 12, 7219 13, 7219 14, 7219 22, 7219 23, 7219 24, 7220 11 and 7220 12 (TARIC codes 219 11 00 10, 7219 12 10 10, 7219 12 90 10, 7219 13 10 10, 7219 13 90 10, 7219 14 10 10, 7219 14 90 10, 7219 22 10 10, 7219 22 90 10, 7219 23 00 10, 7219 24 00 10, 7220 11 00 10) .
On August 12, 2019, the European Commission issued an announcement stating that in response to the application submitted by the European Iron and Steel Association on behalf of EU hot-rolled stainless steel coil manufacturers on June 28, 2019, the European Commission issued an announcement on products originating in Indonesia, China and Taiwan. Anti-dumping investigations on hot rolled stainless coils in the region.
On October 7, 2020, the European Commission made an affirmative final ruling on the case.
