What Makes Stainless Steel Non Magnetic?
When high chromium and nickel are added to the steel (the chromium content is about 18%, and the Ni content is more than 4%), the internal structure of the steel presents a structure called austenite, which is non-magnetic and cannot be attracted by magnets.
