Fifteen Basic Technical Requirements for Stainless Steel Water Tanks
1. The stainless steel water tank should meet the requirements of this standard and be manufactured in accordance with the required drawings and dimensions.
2. After the water tank is welded, the solid parts must not be loosened, and the connecting parts must not have missing welding or missing parts.
3. The welding seam of the water tank should be full, and the outer welding surface of the water tank should be smooth, beautiful, free of slag, no welds, no porosity, no cracks, no dents, separation, or cut hands at the weld. The welding seam of the inner tank of the water tank needs to be polished. At the same time, it should meet the welding requirements specified in Table 2 below.
4. The flat bottom plate of the water tank should be kept flat, and the degree of deformation should meet the requirements of Table 3.
5. The top of the water tank and the manhole must be fully welded, and the quality requirements are the same as 4.3.
6. The connection ports of the water tank must be well welded, and at the same time try to keep it vertical, at least the inclination is not more than 1°.
7. The insulation layer is firmly combined with the surface of the water tank, and the appearance is flat. The thermal insulation layer is made of polyurethane foamed plastic or thermal insulation material with better performance; the outer decorative shell is made of stainless steel plate or other suitable materials, and the surface must not be uneven, scratched, or rusted, and meet the requirements of Table 2.
8. The allowable tolerance of the external dimensions should meet the requirements of Table 3 below.
9. The water tank is filled with water, and there should be no seepage or leakage, and no obvious deformation. It should be carried out in accordance with the relevant full water test clauses for steel welded atmospheric pressure vessels. (GB50242-2002. Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Building Water Supply and Drainage and Heating Engineering)
10. The water tank should be kept vertical when it is erected, and the verticality should meet the requirements of Table 3.
11. The actual water volume of the water tank should not be less than the nominal volume.
12. The stainless steel plate used in the water tank should meet the requirements of GB/T3280. The plate used for the water tank must be a 304 stainless steel plate. The thickness tolerance of the inner and outer plates is less than 10%.
13. The carbon steel used in the water tank should meet the requirements of GB/T700. All iron parts of the water tank must be treated with anti-corrosion. Anti-rust paint must be used for two anti-rust treatments, and the exposed parts must be painted with silver paint twice.
14. The protruding parts inside and outside the manhole of the water tank should be flanged or treated with other protective treatments to avoid cutting people.
15. After cleaning, the water tank should be filled with water that meets the requirements of GB5749, and let it stand for 1 hour. The water at the outlet of the water tank should meet the requirements of GB5749.
