SUS304, Do You Know What SUS Means?
We often say stainless steel 304, but in fact, the domestic name is generally 06Cr19Ni10 (0Cr18Ni9). But on different occasions, especially in the steel stamp display of the pipe factory, the clear code is mostly like this: SUS304.
So the question is, what does this SUS stand for?
In fact, SUS 304 is 304 stainless steel. Simply put, SUS 304 is 304 stainless steel.
SUS is a Japanese material standard, and 304 stainless steel is a grade of stainless steel produced in accordance with the American ASTM standard. 304SUS 304 is 18/8 stainless steel, and the GB grade is 0Cr18Ni9 (new standard 06cr19ni10). Japan also quoted the American name and called it: SUS304.
Both 304 and 303 are stainless steel, but the composition is different.
SUS303 and SUS304 are called in Japan, and in China, they are called Y1Cr18Ni9 and 0Cr18Ni9 respectively. In China, international chemical element symbols and national symbols are used to represent chemical components, and Arabic letters are used to represent component content. From the structural formula, we can see that the two Differences in chemical composition.
These two kinds of anti-corrosion ability are very good, but 304 is better; the comparison of related materials, the experimental data shows that the stainless steel also rusts after 168 hours of salt spray test. In other cases, a good anti-corrosion effect can be coated. Anti-rust oil, but the effect is limited. It is inconvenient for production and installation. It mainly depends on what kind of effect you want to achieve, what kind of material you choose, and the current standard order: ordinary blue and white zinc-plated carbon steel <black zinc-plated carbon steel <Nickel-plated carbon steel <Stainless steel.
In addition, there is a difference between SUS303 and SUS304
The same as low-carbon steel, the main difference is that the carbon content is different:
The carbon content of sus303 is approximate: ≤0.15%;
The carbon content of sus304 is approximate: ≤0.08%.
In fact, the sulfur content of sus304 is much smaller than that of sus303.
sus303: P≤0.20%, S≤0.15%.
