Five factors affecting the quality of stainless steel pressure water tanks
Quality is the life of an enterprise, the cornerstone of the enterprise’s survival and development, and the foundation of the healthy development of the industry. Only continuous innovation, strict management, the spirit of excellence, continuous research and attention to the application field, and unremitting efforts can produce high-quality, first-class products.
Compared with other water tanks, the stainless steel pressure water tank has many characteristics such as lightweight, high strength, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature resistance. It is suitable for large hotels, institutions, apartments, teaching buildings, hospitals, and other places with high water quality requirements. Its quality appears especially important. Therefore, in order to ensure product quality, heat pump companies should pay attention to the following five factors when producing stainless steel pressurized water tanks.
1. Strictly control raw materials from the source
In the control of raw materials, improper control will cause corrosion of the water tank. Therefore, how to control the quality of raw materials has become the primary task of manufacturing high-quality stainless steel pressure water tanks. As the raw material of stainless steel pressure water tank, SUS304 stainless steel is essentially austenitic metal material, the main component is composed of chromium, nickel, carbon, and other elements.
Once there is a problem with the material, even if the subsequent processes are advanced, the corrosion problem cannot be solved. When selecting materials, heat pump companies should establish professional management processes, effective control methods, and methods, and stable supplier channels to prevent fake SUS304 stainless steel from entering the factory and truly ensure material quality from the source.
2. The following elements should be included in the structural design of the product:
(1) Study the system characteristics of the application field, such as: for the heat pump water heater system, it is necessary to understand the pressure of the heat pump circulation system, the heat generated by the unit, the circulation flow rate, and the compatibility of materials;
(2) The design and assembly of parts and components must meet the pressure vessel specifications;
(3) The heat exchange power of the heat exchanger should be greater than the heating capacity of the matched unit;
(4) For the compressive strength of the water tank, the test pressure must be greater than 1.5 times or 2 times the maximum working pressure.
3. Anti-corrosion treatment should be done in time after welding
Because SUS304 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, automatic argon arc welding is used in the production process. Therefore, when the stainless steel is welded, because the welding temperature reaches 1000 ℃ or more, the weld will inevitably be slightly oxidized, and the crystal structure A certain degree of change will also occur, and carbon and chromium depletion will occur locally. If there is no surface anti-corrosion treatment, the chloride ion (Cl-) in the water will quickly corrode and penetrate some sensitive parts of the stainless steel, which will cause the water tank to leak and be scrapped.
For the finished tank liner, the heat pump company should do anti-corrosion treatment in time to remove the carbides on the surface, so that a protective film of several microns thick with chromium as the main element will be formed on the surface. The protective film is dense and uniform has good covering performance and plays a role in corrosion protection for the inner tank.
4. Thermal insulation performance
The main factors affecting the insulation performance of the water tank are the temperature of the storage water, the thermal conductivity of the insulation material, the ambient temperature of the area where the water tank is used, and the thickness of the insulation layer. When designing, the company should consider the use conditions of the water tank matching system and the use area of the system to determine the thickness of the insulation layer.
5. Compressive strength of the water tank
The compressive strength of the water tank is an important condition when designing the water tank, which directly affects the service life of the water tank. When designing the water tank, the working conditions of the matching system of the water tank must be considered, and different systems need to bear the pressure. The compressive strength of the water tank mainly includes two major factors: the maximum working pressure and the fatigue pulse strength.
